I have been a fitness 'addict' for over 30 years and is in
part due to my unhealthy childhood. Yes, an unhealthy childhood which limited my involvement in any
activities that challenged me physically.
As I matured and my health improved dramatically I decided to
try to make up for lost time, and became involved in an increasing number of athletic endeavours ... with
mixed results!! These athletic endeavours included skiing, rowing, windsurfing, running and primarily weight
training. It was the weight training that I experienced my biggest results.
The weight training in combination with aerobic conditioning
advanced my general health by 'leaps and bounds' with the added benefit of a physcial condition that I felt I had
lacked as a teenager. As a result of this dramatic change in my being I continued to train religously a minimum of
5 days a week and over a 30 year span I would estimate that I only missed a training session about 6 months in
total.
Several years ago I decided to add credibility to my
practical experience with an intention of offering my expertise to others wanting to experience the same
gratification. This is when I obtained my certificate as a personal trainer from Can Fit Pro.
Within a short period of time working as a professional,
I realized the demand and expectations of clients were such that this certification was not enough. As
such I expanded my credentials to include certifications in Resist-A-Ball training and Twist Conditioning athlete training and conditioning.
